Interrogation + Empathy
Alex Beltechi
Born in 1988 in rural Transylvania, Alex had a Huck Finn boyhood. He began his career at age 15 by designing websites, branding and stationery for local businesses and organisations.

Shortly after graduating high-school, he founded his own studio and began working remotely through agencies in London and New York—a network which has been growing and producing collaborations ever since.

In 2011, Alex is named senior editor of Envato's flagship blog, Psdtuts—the biggest Photoshop tutorial site in the world at the time. Also during this time he buys his first professional camera and begins incorporating photography into his process.

Graduates as Bachelor of Design in 2012 and co-founds The Type Collective—a creative network for Typography professionals in Bucharest. The group goes on to host workshops, events and collaborations with local businesses.

Moves to London in 2014 and begins working for Hi-Res and Huge Inc. designing products and services for the likes of Hermès, Verizon, Audi, Versace, United Colours of Benetton, H&M, Lenovo, Hublot, Jägermeister and others.
Alex is a London based designer & photographer with fingers in many pies.

Whether working integrated into an on-site team or independently from his studio, his work is centrally tied to a curiosity for the tomorrow. In his mind, to be creative is to be open to new ideas and to approach topics far from the field of design in order to develop a library of relevant ideas.

Alex delivers desirious, digital experiences through a strong vision and a hands-on, multi-disciplinary approach. Focusing on the user first, he builds a compelling story through intimate knowledge of their needs.

Interplaying interrogation and empathy to solve problems, Alex is able to quickly generate ideas and solutions to create and trigger growth in any product, service or experience.
